News
The Sanctuary has always had terrific support from the media, with the national press, local newspapers and radio stations featuring it's work and we realised that we also needed a Press page to post news items in a format that the media can use.
Because many of our stories would feature in both sections we decided to combine the two, and so we have arrived at our... News & Press Page!
DHAPS are looking to rehome horses and ponies
With the end of the recession DHAPS is happy to report that the amount horses and ponies needing a new home has dramatically dropped, however the amount of people wanting to give a loving home has increased. Because of this DHAPS has set up a system on the website where people looking to rehome their equines can register with us and we will try our best to match these horses/ponies with people from our list of loan homes.
If you would like to add details of your horse or pony then please go to the front page to register and then pick Loan Scheme from the menu.
Our aim is to make sure that all equines are given the best chance in life and we give 100% to finding the right home.

Meet Robin & Rosie
Last year, a call was received at the Sanctuary from a lady asking us to take two small ponies as she was unable to care for them anymore for a variety of reasons. We get many calls and emails every day like this call and are unable to help everyone as we just don’t have the room or resources.
