Fundraising

Pippin - a tiny foal rescued by Sylvia and Terry from the Chagford Pony Sales in October 1985. He was filmed by Brian Carter, the author and artist, for the BBC documentary 'Dartmoor, the Threatened Wilderness.

The Sanctuary is always looking for fund raisers whose help is invaluable whether manning the charity stalls, organising events or running the London Marathon.

We couldn't hope to achieve the standard of continuing care needed for Pippin and all our other equine residents without the kindness of friends and supporters.

It is people's gifts of time as well as money that enables us to fund the frighteningly big veterinary bill, projects like our stable block and to ensure that we are able to take the next animal that needs the safety and care we can offer, and the next .....

Even if you do not live locally you can still play a vital part in the lives of the Sanctuary's residents - now and in the future - by giving up some of your time to hold a fundraising event for us.

Perhaps you can help by holding a sponsored event - walk, ride, jog, silence, a spelling test
or a race night, horse show, dog show or a fete.

Could you hold a table top sale, door to door collection, raffle, or a coffee morning, car boot sale, jumble, or make cakes and sell them to your friends?

Every contribution helps and is received with sincere gratitude.
