Our Latest Arrival: Athens June 2007 Athens arrived at the Sanctuary in early June after being retired from the Metropolitan Police, due to ill health. He is a very handsome fourteen year old, 16.2 dark bay gelding, and makes a very welcome addition to the other Police horses both from Metropolitan and Bristol & Avon Police forces.

COPPERFIELD'S WHISKERS GET THE VOTE! 31 August 2006 A much-loved carriage horse at a Westcountry stately home is retiring on a high, having won national acclaim for his grand whiskers. The Devon Horse and Pony Sanctuary at Manaton has agreed to give the him loving home and retirement he so richly deserves!
