We don't know when this quote was written or by whom but it expresses, very eloquently, a belief that inspires the commitment of all of us at DHPS to provide a loving and lifelong home to as many horses, ponies and donkeys as we can.

Donations and legacies are always urgently needed to maintain all the Sanctuary animals, especially now with so many larger ones now coming into care from the Police Service. They haven't the funds to keep their retired horses and if the Sanctuary did not take them they would be put down. Legacies are the life blood of the Charity and are always gratefully received. Money is spent carefully by prudent Trustees on the animals, their accomodation, the upkeep of their fields and buildings and salaries for for those who care for them.
