Vera
Vera is very new to the Sanctuary, she is a one year old dark bay dartmoor pony. Vera came to us after she was found on dartmoor as a very young foal standing with her dead mother.
She managed to survive by staying with the heard on the moor but she was brought off the moor so that she could be properly cared for, unfortunately the people that rescued her do not have the time to bring her on so at the moment she is partially wild.
Here at the Sanctuary we are doing our best to give her the love and attention she needs but she would benefit from someone that is kind and experienced and has the time to develop her to her full potential as she would make a lovely riding pony for a child.
Vera needs to be handled initially by someone experienced and will do well as an only pony, we reccomend that her new home does not have any dogs and these cause her to be nervous.
Vera is very affectionate and curious to everything that is going on, she loves human company and will make a lovely family pet.
