How You Can Help

helping his lordship.jpg
We can’t wait to be in a position to start welcoming our regular volunteers back, and we are always looking for new ones to help out with mucking out, grooming, filling haynets and ragworting. Once the visitor centre reopens we will be needing volunteers there too.

“During these strange times volunteers can still support us remotely by keeping their eyes and ears open for welfare cases as we start moving around again, letting us know about interesting horse stories to put on our facebook page.
“Due to almost overnight ceasing of over 70% of our annual fundraising, it is in this area that we are desperately in need of help, any form of fund raising from home will help toward our monthly/annual running costs of simply feeding and caring for the horses, this can be done in any shape or form as every little bit helps through these troubled times.
We welcome visits when we are able to again. At the moment due to Covid 19 we are aware that our priority is to our staff and animals. We are only a small establishment and as such our visits can only be a maximum of 8 people and have to be booked in by appointment. We will be letting everyone know when we are able to have visits again.
Considering leaving a Legacy
Leaving a legacy in your Will is one of the best ways of helping and continuing the work of the sanctuary into the future.
There are many ways to help us, click here to go to our Donation page
Donate Tack and Rugs
Not all donations are financial. Could you help us out by donating secondhand tack which is in good repair
Become a Friend of DHAPS
Become a friend of the Devon Horse & Pony Sanctuary charity by signing up for a regular donation. Its a wonderful way to help to contribute personally to the work that we do and to make sure that DHAPS continues into the future.
In return, we will send you regular updates on what's been happening at the centre, plus a horsey key ring and an open invitation for a private tour of the Sanctuary for four people (pre-arranged) - and to have tea and cake
Is there anyone who can help us with Grants?
Social Media
The biggest tool in our armour is Social Media. Could we ask that our supporters always like, comment and share our social media posts. Thank You it means a lot.

Without your help and support, we simply wouldn’t be able to continue to do what we do. To rescue and rehabilitate horses, ponies and donkeys and offer visits to those members of our community that really benefit from time spent with our animals.

Your generosity makes this possible. Please help us to help them

Thank you from us all.
